Palm Beach County- Consistently recognized as the Best Gallery in Palm Beach County, The Box Gallery under the direction of owner and curator Rolando Chang Barrero, has been on the cutting edge earning the 4,000 square foot exhibition space bragging rights since it opened in 2016.
Myth America(NA), Deconstructing Americana Culture and Imagery, A contemporary fine art group exhibition, which opens with a reception on November 5th with a VIP reception at 7 pm, is expected to solidify the gallery’s reputation as the place to experience art.
Intermixed with local, national, and internationally recognized artists the group exhibition takes a look beneath the surface and veneer of Americana culture from a variety perspectives by each of the artists. From the elegant and iconic images of bi-racial imagery in fashion photography by New York photographer, Daniel Perry, to the whimsical paintings and sculpture of gender-fluid individuals in heels and colorful inner tubes by Renata Rodrigues, there is much to unwrap socially, emotionally, and academically.
Touching on current hot topics like consumerism, patriotism, classism, reparations, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, immigration, housing, etc., This exhibition is organized to make people think about aesthetics, content, context, and as visual dialogue between artist and patron.
