"As we enter a new epoch in West Palm Beach there will be a remarkable change in the work presented at The Box Gallery. The upcoming Eggungúnthe Orisha of the Ancestors” performance and exhibition has intellectual depth and academic resonance. I believe it time to initiate a more powerful international dialogue in the arts that allows our artists acclaim in the world arena.  In the last few decades fine art has been relegated the conditional state of trends in the market place, resulting in a very serious loss to its development and advancement. West Palm Beach is no long just a tourist destination, but a world class city and the responsibility of the cultural institutions, the art galleries, the art centers, as well as, our museums is to reflect that."  -Rolando Chang Barrero

Joining the celebration of the Cuban Diaspora alongside Ferrera-Balanquet is artist, Carlos Javier Camacho Albert, visiting artist from Cuba who will be exhibiting selections of his work at The Box Gallery in 2019 and ex-political prisoner of Cuba Alejandro Fuerte will recite a poem penned to accompany the Shroud of the Cuban Sorrow he he painted while in prison which will be on display. No Cuban celebration would be complete without serving tradition holiday foods, including a roasted pig, and live entertainment by Cuban reggaeton singer El Chamako Rikera and Karolay Meme Ureña the musical diva from San Jose, Costa Rica.
