About Sue Latta

Sue has been a working artist for over 20 years. She has a BFA in Photography and an MFA in Sculpture. Her work has been collected throughout the United States and Canada, and is included in the Permanent Collection at the University of Nevada Reno, Boise State University, Boise Visual Chronicle, Idaho Shakespeare Festival and numerous private collections. She has done a number of public projects and received grants from the Idaho Commission on the Arts, the Boise City Arts Commission, ImageArt and the Alexa Rose Foundation.

Sue has served as an Artist in Residence for the LiveStrong Foundation at the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center, the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, NY and the Boise City A.I.R. program.

She is currently an adjunct professor of art at Boise State University. She also owns The Sculpture Studio, a private teaching studio where she teaches a variety of 3-dimensional disciplines.

As an artist Sue is tireless, prolific, and accomplished. She is a consummate craftsman, working seamlessly across a variety of media including photography, metal and wood fabrication, and casting everything from bronze and aluminum to plastic and paper.

Sue is also an innovator. She developed an image transfer process, which allows the transfer of an inkjet print onto urethane resin thus transforming the photograph into a sculptural medium.

Her current body of artwork proves that she won't settle into the tried and true, she is going to continue to push the boundaries of whatever material she's working with and create work that is unlike anything you've ever seen before.

About Elle Schorr:

Elle Schorr has been exploring the world through a camera all of her adult life, and has always been excited by contemporary art, architecture and the power of photography.

After a career in clinical social work, she moved from New York to Lake Worth, Florida, and focused her new freedom on using her camera to capture the transitory energy of the urban environment.

Ms. Schorr has shown her work widely, and has garnered critical attention for her unique ability to freeze multiple perspectives into a single image photograph.

Her work was chosen in 2015 for the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood Biennial, and in 2009 and 2013 for the “Annual All Florida Exhibition” at the Boca Raton Museum, as well as for many other juried and invitational exhibitions.

She has had two solo exhibitions, at the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County in Lake Worth and at Project Fine Art /helium creative in FAT Village / Fort Lauderdale, and was part of a two person exhibition at GardensArt in Palm Beach Gardens City Hall. Her work is in private collections in New York and Florida, and can be seen at ARTHouse 429 in Northwood.

Ms. Schorr has created and leads an ongoing series of Art Salons at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach monthly from October to May. These conversations offer professional artists in South Florida a platform to explore their work in relation to the broader world of contemporary conceptual art. In October, 2015, she curated Artists of Art Salon: A Collective Dialogue, exhibiting the work of 57 artists who had presented at Art Salons over the past three years. This exhibition filled two galleries At the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach and the Armory Annex Gallery in Lake Worth.
