Palm Beach County-"Strong schools make strong communities in Palm Beach County" and the Creative Sparks Exhibition at The Box Gallery proves that line beyond a doubt! Organized by Art Synergy for The Palm Beach County Art Teachers Association, Creative Sparks opens at The Box Gallery on Friday, October 14, 2022 with a reception from 6-8 PM. The annual exhibition, which has been postponed due to COVID19 pandemic for the last two years, is a celebration of arts educations in Palm Beach County. 

Creative Sparks is collaborative effort between Art Synergy, PBCATA, and The Box Gallery.

The return of the exhibition couldn't be better timed as a referendum calling for the continuation of funding for 750 programs, including the arts, of The School District of Palm Beach County will appear on the November 8th election ballots. The referendum is expected to pass with overwhelming support.

This remarkable exhibition, organized by Jeanne Bootz Brown, has united families and children in celebration of the creativity and talent that has made Palm Beach County the epicenter of arts education. 

It is the mission of the Palm Beach County Art Teachers Association to support art education and to promote art as a means of communication for each individual. It is the right of each individual to develop his own creativity and aesthetic potential. It is our purpose to strengthen the position of art education in Palm Beach County. We support programs in art which meet the needs, interests and abilities of each individual student. We will promote and maintain the highest quality of art education in Palm Beach County.

PBCATA raises money which goes directly to our scholarship fund.  Every year, two scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,000 each to students pursuing a college degree in the Visual Arts.  ​Along with raising money for scholarships, PBCATA also sponsors ribbons annually for the South Florida Fair and the Annual K-12 Student Art Exhibition held at the District office in West Palm Beach.

Creative Sparks and exhibition of works by Palm Beach County Art Teachers Association and their students sponsored by Art Synergy a 501 c 3 not for profit organization will be held from October 14-22, 2022.
