About Elle Schorr:

Elle Schorr has been exploring the world through a camera all of her adult life, and has always been excited by contemporary art, architecture and the power of photography.

After a career in clinical social work, she moved from New York to Lake Worth, Florida, and focused her new freedom on using her camera to capture the transitory energy of the urban environment.

Ms. Schorr has shown her work widely, and has garnered critical attention for her unique ability to freeze multiple perspectives into a single image photograph.

Her work was chosen in 2015 for the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood Biennial, and in 2009 and 2013 for the “Annual All Florida Exhibition” at the Boca Raton Museum, as well as for many other juried and invitational exhibitions.

She has had two solo exhibitions, at the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County in Lake Worth and at Project Fine Art /helium creative in FAT Village / Fort Lauderdale, and was part of a two person exhibition at GardensArt in Palm Beach Gardens City Hall. Her work is in private collections in New York and Florida, and can be seen at ARTHouse 429 in Northwood.

Ms. Schorr has created and leads an ongoing series of Art Salons at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach monthly from October to May. These conversations offer professional artists in South Florida a platform to explore their work in relation to the broader world of contemporary conceptual art. In October, 2015, she curated Artists of Art Salon: A Collective Dialogue, exhibiting the work of 57 artists who had presented at Art Salons over the past three years. This exhibition filled two galleries At the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach and the Armory Annex Gallery in Lake Worth.
