The Box Gallery, the newest addition to the cultural landscape of the Gold Coast, opens the weekend of June 3rd through the 5th. The three day Grand Opening Weekend will feature:

Diane Arrieta
MSc, Wildlife and Ecosystems Health University of Edinburgh, U.K. 
BFA, Ceramic Sculpture Florida Atlantic University


Diane Arrieta is an  artist and a curator, as well as, the science and art outreach coordinator at Florida Atlantic University where she develops and organizes novel art and science outreach projects to connect to the community and develop opportunities for the library and students. Currently conducting a long term Seabird Study investigating the utilization of Estuarine and intertidal habitats at the John D. MacArthur State Park as an outreach program to over biology internships for honors college students. Also organizing off campus contemporary art exhibitions; and several other outreach programs.

Joanne Berkow

Joanne Berkow is a professional visual artist, art dealer, author of three books, a philanthropist and the founder of a 16,000 square feet fine art fabrication center: The Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts, in the City of Lake Worth, Florida. She is also a very active member of the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches.

Katie Dietz

University of Florida

Katie Dietz is a writer, sculptor, Master Photographer, and educator.
 In 2007, she was awarded the South Florida Cultural Consortium fellowship for Palm Beach County.

Sandra Schulman
BFA, Sarah Lawrence College

Independent Writing and Producer/DirectorSandra Hale Schulman is an arts writer and film producer. Her documentary films have been featured in a show at the Smithsonian Museum in NYC and Washington DC. She is a consultant for Rezolution Pictures on a new documentary film coming in 2016. Her work has appeared in Billboard, Variety, Rolling Stone, Ocean Drive, The New York Daily News, and Entertainment Weekly. She was an arts columnist for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel for 8 years. She lives and works in West Palm Beach and Southampton, NY.

Ilene Adams
BFA, Tyler School of Art/Temple University

Ilene Gruber Adams is an artist, art marketing specialist and board member of various arts institutions.
Ilene studied fine art in Rome, Italy and returned to Tyler School of Art/Temple University to get a degree in graphic design and advertising.  After moving to Boston, Ilene continued her studies in Marketing at Harvard.

In 1981, Ilene opened Women at Work, a radio marketing company that soon became one of the leading broadcast marketing companies in the country, consulting radio stations nationwide. The company moved to New Jersey in 1990 and reformed in Florida in 2004 where she has been creating marketing strategies  and graphic design in Palm Beach, Florida.

Jonathon Ortiz-Smykla
MLA, Auburn University
Gallery and Events Manager at Center for Creative Education
where he develops the artistic capacity and function of the Marjorie S Fisher Gallery while juggling the schedule of special events held by the CCE each year. With an impressive resume and 13 year career in the design field, Jonathon is dedicated to the Arts and the local Northwood community where the CCE resides. He holds a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from Auburn University and provides an extensive following for the 
Marjorie S Fisher Gallery at the Center for Creative Education.

Debby Coles-Dobay

Public Arts Administrator at The City of Boynton Beach 
Art in Public Places Program. In this position she serves as liaison to the Arts Commission, City and Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) staff, developers, planners architects, artists, design professionals and the general public.  

Sharon West McCormick 
Appalachian State University

Jacques de Beaufort is an artist and filmmaker living in Lake Worth, Florida where he is an Associate Professor of Visual Art at Palm Beach State College.

Craig McInnis
Artist/Musician
Craig McInnis is a freelance artist with a career balancing commercial and fine arts. He enjoys keeping his workload diverse to help expand his skill set. Craig has had the opportunity to make music, paint on many different surfaces, illustrate, produce graphic design, create storyboard art and props for motion pictures, apprentice as a tattoo artist, and work behind the scenes to curate art shows. His most recent projects are Northwood and downtown West Palm Beach mural projects. He is serving on the board of the non-profit Art Synergy partnering with Art Palm Beach, Art Director for The Event Group, Creative Director for Fright Nights at the South Florida Fairgrounds, and 
Theme Set Designer for the South Florida Fair.
